Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By enrolling in The Consolidated Nurse Aide Training Institute ("The CNA Training Institute," "Institute," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not enroll in our programs or use our services.

2. Enrollment Requirements

To enroll in our CNA training program, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age with parental consent, or 18 years of age without parental consent
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Pass a criminal background check as required by Texas state regulations
  • Provide proof of immunizations and health screenings required for clinical training
  • Be able to perform the physical requirements of the CNA role
  • Have a valid Social Security Number or authorization to work in the United States
  • Submit all required documentation before the start of classes

3. Program Details

Course Structure

Our Texas-approved CNA training program consists of:

  • 100 total hours of instruction following Texas nurse aide curriculum
  • Part 1: Classroom instruction covering all aspects of patient care
  • Part 2: Clinical training (externship) in a healthcare facility
  • Supervision by a licensed Primary Nurse Assistant Instructor

Schedule Options

We offer three schedule options:

  • Day/Morning Classes: 3-week program, Monday-Friday
  • Evening/Night Classes: 4-week program, Monday-Friday
  • Weekend Classes: 6-week program, Saturday-Sunday

Clinical hours are typically scheduled from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM regardless of class schedule.

Certification Exam

Upon completion of the program:

  • Students are eligible to take the Texas State Certifying Exam
  • Exam is administered by Prometric (independent testing organization)
  • Exam fee of $125 is paid directly to Prometric (not included in course fees)
  • Our school serves as a state testing center
  • Exam includes written multiple-choice and practical skills components

4. Tuition and Fees

Payment Terms

  • Tuition must be paid according to the agreed payment plan
  • Course fees do not include the $125 state exam fee
  • Additional costs may include uniforms, supplies, and background checks
  • Payment plans are available - contact our office for details
  • All fees are non-refundable except as outlined in our refund policy

Financial Obligations

Students are responsible for:

  • All tuition and fees regardless of attendance
  • Any collection costs if account becomes delinquent
  • Replacement costs for lost or damaged school property

5. Attendance and Academic Policies

Attendance Requirements

  • 100% attendance is required for all clinical training sessions
  • Classroom attendance must meet Texas state requirements
  • Tardiness may result in being marked absent for that session
  • Excessive absences may result in dismissal from the program
  • Make-up hours may be available at the discretion of the Institute

Academic Standards

  • Students must maintain a minimum passing grade as determined by the Institute
  • Students must demonstrate competency in all required skills
  • Academic dishonesty will result in immediate dismissal
  • Students must pass all required assessments to graduate

6. Student Conduct

Students are expected to:

  • Maintain professional behavior at all times
  • Respect instructors, staff, fellow students, and patients
  • Adhere to dress code and appearance standards
  • Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  • Abstain from drug and alcohol use during program hours
  • Complete all assignments and clinical requirements

Violation of conduct standards may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from the program.

7. Clinical Training Requirements

  • Students must complete all required health screenings and immunizations
  • Clinical placement is arranged by the Institute
  • Students must comply with all clinical facility policies
  • Students must maintain professional liability insurance (if required)
  • Transportation to clinical sites is the student's responsibility
  • Students must wear appropriate uniforms and identification

8. Refund Policy

Refunds are provided according to the following schedule:

  • Before the first class session: 100% refund minus registration fee
  • After attending first week: 75% refund of tuition
  • After attending second week: 50% refund of tuition
  • After attending third week: No refund
  • State exam fees are non-refundable once paid to Prometric

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Institute administration.

9. Dismissal and Withdrawal

Grounds for Dismissal

The Institute reserves the right to dismiss students for:

  • Academic failure or inability to meet program requirements
  • Violation of student conduct policies
  • Excessive absences or tardiness
  • Non-payment of tuition and fees
  • Falsification of records or documentation
  • Endangering the safety of others
  • Violation of patient confidentiality

Voluntary Withdrawal

Students wishing to withdraw must:

  • Submit written notice to the Institute administration
  • Complete an exit interview if requested
  • Return all Institute property
  • Settle all financial obligations

10. Certification and Licensing

  • Completion of the program makes students eligible for certification exam
  • Passing the state exam is required for CNA certification
  • The Institute does not guarantee exam passage or employment
  • Texas certification can be transferred to other states per their requirements
  • Students are responsible for maintaining their certification

11. Liability and Disclaimers

Limitation of Liability

The Institute shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injury during training unless due to Institute negligence
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Inability to complete the program due to personal circumstances
  • Failure to pass the certification exam
  • Inability to obtain employment after certification

Student Responsibility

Students are responsible for:

  • Their own health and safety during training
  • Obtaining appropriate health insurance
  • Transportation to and from classes and clinical sites
  • Meeting all program requirements

12. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including but not limited to:

  • Curriculum content and lesson plans
  • Training manuals and handouts
  • Audio-visual materials
  • Online learning resources
  • Assessment tools

are the property of The CNA Training Institute and protected by copyright. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without written permission.

13. Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Student information is protected under FERPA
  • Students must maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
  • Photography and recording require prior permission
  • Social media posts about the program require approval

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be:

  • First addressed through the Institute's complaint policy
  • Subject to mediation if internal resolution fails
  • Governed by the laws of the State of Texas
  • Subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Fort Bend County, Texas

15. Changes to Terms

The Institute reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be:

  • Posted on our website
  • Communicated to enrolled students via email
  • Effective immediately upon posting unless otherwise stated

  • Read and understood these Terms of Service
  • Had the opportunity to ask questions
  • Agreed to be bound by these Terms
  • Received a copy of these Terms for your records

  • CPR Training and Certification
  • Onsite CPR Training for organizations
  • Continuing education opportunities

These services may be subject to additional terms and fees.

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and The Consolidated Nurse Aide Training Institute regarding your enrollment and participation in our programs.
